OUR XMAS 2024-25 TOUR

by Pat Whymark
webpage title.jpg

The Suffolk village of Dangleford is hanging by a thread! As Xmas approaches, its veneer of civility is cracking, like last year's Yule Log. A series of poison pen letters, signed "The Christmas Fairy", threaten to expose corruption at the heart of village life. As the mulled wine simmers, old grudges reach boiling point. Even Father Brown's renowned frosted plums may fail to get the party going! He must use all his wits to stop the midwinter madness snow- balling into… a snowball of terror!

Common Ground present another of their much-loved festive comedy mysteries.

Common Ground Theatre Company have been touring the Eastern region for many years now with their unique brand of music theatre.

"One of the best things on the road in East Anglia right now, the ever-inventive Common Ground…A proper treat." - Libby Purves

Paul T. Davies reviews Miss Mimple Meets the Ice Wolf on keepcolchestercool.co.uk

"A firm favourite with audiences throughout East Anglia, Common Ground Theatre Company creates hilarious parodies infused with a musical score. It was a delight to kick off the new year of theatre with such enthusiasm!

Director and composer Pat Whymark keeps the action tight, leaving no pun unturned! The cast excels in their roles...As talented musicians, they clearly enjoy themselves and collaborate seamlessly, making the experience enjoyable for the audience.

It’s a fantastic piece of family entertainment. The script is witty, and the plot is well-structured, offering the perfect antidote to winter blues. If you have the chance, catch them on tour; they come highly recommended, not only by me but also by the capacity audience at the Headgate Theatre!"
